Pep up your skin with papaya

 Among the many fruits that are highly beneficial  to our skin, is the good old papaya. This easily available fruit is a storehouse of vitamins and does ample good to your skin from both within and outside.


           Packed with goodness, juice of this wonderful fruit has some very special enzymes which mean it could be your skin's best friend.



           Papaya can work magic on your skin. It is rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C, flavinoids and carotenes and it contains an enzyme called Papain which can help banish dead skin cells and clear impurities.



          A number of popular facial products now use this extract  and you can make your own face mask from the flesh of papaya crushed with a few seeds  or apply the inside layer of the papaya skin directly onto your skin for a great facial treat.




          The fruit's enzyme has recently become known as a leading ingredient in skin whitening products and is also thought to encourage skin renewal. 



When used to exfoliate the skin, it has restorative properties that can help soften the skin  and give a smoother appearance. Here are some quick fixes with this fruit:



                          

Acne :

 Apply a mask using the fleshy side of a green papaya skin on the acne.

 Apply a mask of pickled grated papaya in vinegar once a week.


  Skin Cleanser

Ingredients: 

3 Tbl spoon pure honey
             1/2 tsp of extra-virgin olive oil
    1/2 tsp wheat germ oil
1 tsp papaya juice

              
   Method :

 Mix the ingredients together. Wash the skin with warm water. Gently massage the cleanser onto moist skin, then rinse well with water. Apply twice daily.



                               


Moisturizer:

                    Blend ripe papaya until smooth. Apply the paste and keep it for 20 minutes and wash it with wash cloth or cold water. It is simple method to moisture the skin.


For Sun Tan and to brighten skin complexion:

                   Make a paste of papaya and add yogurt, lemon juice, honey and egg white into it. Mix to make a thick paste and apply all over face and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water. This papaya face mask brightens the skin complexion and cures tan.
